| We left White Bird, ID on Tuesday, July 7 and went to Lake Owyhee State Park near Nyssa, OR for two nights. It was a nice little state park with water and 30 amp electric for $44 per night. |

| When I planned this stop with RV Trip Wizard it didn't look like it was very far off of Hwy. 95. What I didn't realize was that it was an hour off the highway, partly on a dirt and gravel road that went up and down and twisted around. This is a tunnel you have to go through. I think John was the most stressed he's ever been about towing the 5th wheel on a road, but we made it thanks to lots of prayer! Let's just say if you're a local and you go there and you're not towing anything bigger than a fishing boat it's the place for you. If you're going down the highway and need a place to stay for a couple of nights don't do this park!! Live and learn! |

| We arrived in Winnemucca, NV on Thursday, July 9. We stayed at New Frontier RV Park, 50 amp full hookups for $60 per night. It was a very nice campground, and although close to the interstate it was quiet. We did a Walmart run, but didn't sit outside as it was just too hot. |

| On Sunday, July 12 we arrived in Dayton, NV to visit John's brother, Bill, for a week. We're back at Dayton RV Park, 50 amp full hookups for $57.24 per night. Two years ago it was $44 per night. The park is full because engineers that are working at the Tesla and Panasonic plants stay here. With our slide out I can touch the slide and the RV next door. It's a nice quiet and clean park, but very tight. |

| Bill said that Bridget, John's step-brother's wife, was in Carson City getting maintenance done on her car so we met her at In-N-Out for lunch. As I've said, if there's an In-N-Out around we go (it's a California thing). It was really nice to catch up with her since we haven't seen her in two years. |

| I looked up what there was to do in Carson City and the State Railroad Museum and the Nevada State Museum came up. So we first went to the railroad museum. |

| I'd never seen a train car like this. The engine and car are all one piece, sort of like a trolley car. |

| I have some scales at home that look very close to this one. Mine are from when my dad was stationed in Nome, Alaska in the late 40s. He and my mom lived in a house there and they found the scales in the attic. They were probably used in the Nome gold rush. |

| On Friday we met John's step-sister, Trina, and her husband, Paul, at a mexican restaurant in Carson City. It's been two years since we've seen them so it was good to see them spend a couple of hours catching up.
