Paducah, KY to South Shore, KY

Paducah, KY to South Shore, KY
October 7 - 17, 2019

On Monday, October 7 we drove to Laurel Branch Campground (CoE) near McDaniels, KY.

We spent a couple of days just enjoying the beautiful weather, fall colors, and relaxing.

On Thursday, October 10 we drove to Florence, IN, just across the Ohio River from KY.

We stayed at Follow the River RV Resort.

It was a nice park and good base camp to see the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.

On Friday, October 11 we went to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown.  The Ark was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be.  It's based on the measurements given by God to Noah - 510' long, 85' wide, 51' high and has three stories.

It is the largest timber frame structure in the world.  It took Noah 55-75 years to build the original Ark and everything in it.  After going through this one I can see why.  Although they did have tools and metalworking there were only Noah and his three sons working on it.

Here are some pictures of what it might have looked like on the inside.

Here are some of the animals that were on the Ark.

Many people say that there wasn't room for all the animals on the Ark, but there was with room left over.  God sent juveniles to the Ark because they were smaller and would have had a longer time frame to have babies after they got off the Ark.

This is what the living quarters for Noah and his family might have looked like.

Here is some interesting information on ice dating methods and climate change.  Read these in light of what we are being told about dating methods and climate change today.

We would highly recommend both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.

On Saturday, October 12 we went to the Creation Museum in Petersburg.  It was so refreshing not to have the evolution theory touted as facts like at the national, state and local parks.  Evolution is a theory, and if looked at closely cannot be proven by science.

They have some very interesting displays.

(Our grandson loves dinosaurs so we took a lot of pictures of those.)

Here is another dinosaur skeleton they found and reassembled.  The head was so heavy they put it in a separate case and put a lighter duplicate on the whole skeleton display.

We believe that man and dinosaurs were created by God on the sixth day of creation and lived together.  If you are interested in finding out more please go to https://answersingenesis.org/.  They have an excellent website and can answer all your questions.

On Monday, October 14 we drove to South Shore, KY to visit friends Bill and Donna.  They have invited us several times to come and now that we are retired we can do so.  They have a beautiful house and property and a pad with full hookups behind their house.  We really appreciate the invitation and chance to come and see them.

We'll be here until Saturday morning and then we'll be...

Roving on...
